BBC Studios to Bring Cbeebies’ Award-Winning Kids Programming to Xfinity on Demand

CBeebies On Demand Content Will be Available to Sample For Free July 8 – 14

BBC Studios today announced that its award-winning CBeebies channel will soon make a collection of its acclaimed kids programming, including hit titles such as Hey Duggee, Sarah & Duck and Yakka Dee, available for Comcast’s Xfinity TV customers to enjoy through Xfinity On Demand. CBeebies recently launched its live channel as part of the Xfinity TV Latino package, and today’s announcement gives these customers more flexibility to enjoy the programming on their terms. The On Demand programming will launch on July 8, 2019 to coincide with the start of Xfinity Kids Week, a week-long event where a selection of kids programming, including many Spanish-language choices, from popular networks will be made available to all Xfinity TV customers for free.

Featuring high-quality shows 100% in Spanish, as well as original short-form content produced in-region to reflect the bicultural experience of Hispanic children growing up in the United States, CBeebies provides a trusted and safe environment for parents and kids to enjoy an enriching and educational co-viewing experience. With friendly characters and interactive live action, animation and mixed media content, pre-schoolers ages six and under are inspired to learn about language, math, natural history, geography, and science while developing social skills and values such as teamwork, creativity, and problem solving.

James Wildbore, BBC Studios’ SVP & General Manager for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic commented: “Comcast is an excellent partner to help bring our most acclaimed children’s content to more U.S. Hispanic audiences. The award-winning CBeebies channel and its programs encourage the positive development of children in a secure environment. This partnership will enable us to expand this proposition and reach more families in the United States.”

During Kids Week, all Xfinity TV customers will be able to access and sample the below award-winning CBeebies titles. X1 customers can quickly find the programming by saying “CBeebies On Demand” into their voice remote, or by searching for the show by name.
