Los Angeles, CA (January 24, 2018) – Anchor Worldwide, the global creative agency with offices across three continents, today announced the launch of its Los Angeles-based entertainment division, Anchor Entertainment, with partner Ethan Goldman at the helm and BBC Worldwide Productions (BBCWP) as its exclusive production partner.
Goldman will serve as President of Entertainment for the company. He will be responsible for developing programming for cable networks and OTT services, with a focus on long-form programming, premium documentary-series, and scripted dramas.
Goldman commented, “As part of our rollout we are collaborating with premium storytellers and world-renowned documentarians to develop timely, issue-driven verité series presented through a filmmaker’s lens and we’re excited to partner with BBCWP exclusively to bring these stories of substance to life.”

Goldman spent the past year consulting for various clients including Big Fish Entertainment and MTV Networks after leaving his post at Warrior Poets where he served as Head of Development for four years. There he developed multiple TV, film, and digital projects including Showtime’s The Trade, an official selection of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, Cultureshock (A&E), Superheroes Decoded (History), American Takedown (A&E), The HALO Effect (Nickelodeon), a feature length doc for CMT Films entitled Freedom! The Movie, as well as AOL’s most-viewed series, Connected. Prior to that, Goldman served as Senior Vice President of Ish Entertainment, where he developed projects for cable TV, including Brooklyn 11223, Approval Matrix (Bravo), and Patrice O’Neal’s Guide to White People, and played an instrumental role in launching two YouTube channels: MyISH, a music discovery platform for millennials, and Life +Times, a collaboration with Jay-Z.
Headed by Matt Forde, BBC Worldwide Productions successfully develops and produces new and continuing high-quality programs for linear and digital partners. The most recognized ongoing success for BBCWP is Dancing with the Stars (ABC), which continues to dominate ratings; has won numerous awards including 17 Emmy® Awards; and aired its 25th season in the fall of 2017. BBCWP is also responsible for the Golden Globe® and Emmy® nominated limited series The Night Of (HBO), starring Riz Ahmed and John Turturro; the critically-acclaimed dark comedy Getting On (HBO), starring Laurie Metcalf and Niecy Nash – both Emmy® nominated for the series in “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series” and “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series,” respectively; and the Emmy ® award-winning docu-reality series Life Below Zero (National Geographic Channel).
